Recovery coaching for families affected by schizophrenia and other serious mental illnesses

In the summer of 1975, I found myself confined to a locked psychiatric unit in New York City for 13 weeks with an "acute psychotic break from reality".

This was the start of a "psychic affect" journey that has continued for 45 years.

My quest for recovery has been neither quick or easy. It was not a linear journey but rather has followed a crooked graphof ascent with small victories combining for my ultimate success of recovery.

It has been a process of peaks and valleys culminating in being psychosis-free since 1993 and completely hospital-free since 2005.

I have experienced both the illness and the mental health system of doctors, therapists, and hospitals extensively in the course of my treatment.

I want to use my knowledge to help you, the family members and caregivers, so you can, in turn, help your suffering loved ones.

My philosophy is that if the caregivers can find calm and harmony, their ability to help the diagnosed relative is greatly improved.

By setting an example for the possibilities of understanding this illness, I intend to give every family member the opportunity to participate in their loved one's recovery.

RECOVERY IS ALWAYS  AN OPTION!!

The LIVE LOVE Method is a coaching approach I developed:

This approach is a system to help the loved ones of those effected by schizophrenic deal with their feelings in a methodical way.
